BOB Day Afternoon

We bit the bullet and joined the suburban mommy club with the purchase of the BOB Revolution -- the all terrain, off-roading, jogging stroller extraordinaire. We took it for the first ride at St. Edwards Park on a hot, steamy Seattle afternoon. Grayson cried the whole way down the steep, dusty hill...so we stripped him down and had a picnic.

Daddy and baby practiced their Zoolander poses -- Nathan gave me 'Blue Steel" and Grayson worked on his 'Le Tigre'.

We're hoping Grayson grows into and gets used to the BOB -- he cried the whole way back up the (2 mile) hill too...

Grayson's First Vacation: Part Two

During our trip to Sunriver, we made our way home via Eugene and got the chance to see Grayson's Papa Norm, Uncle Paul, Aunt Reagan and cousins Courtney, Quinn and Sydney. Everyone met at Papa's Pizza which is a Chapman family tradition. We're certain once he has teeth, he will be a big fan of the shrimp boat pizza -- just like his Daddy.

He had a really fun time meeting everyone and we can't wait to get everyone together again soon.

Whidbey Island Visit

We took the ferry from Mukilteo to Whidbey Island on Sunday, July 12th. The weather was cool and overcast -- a perfect day for a drive.

We stopped at one of Mila's favorite spots, the dog beach at Useless Bay. She ran around and ate seaweed. We had lunch in Coupeville, then made our way up the island and crossed the bridge at Deception Pass.

Judging from the smiles on his face, his first beach visit was a success and we can't wait to make another visit so he can see the alpacas at Greenbank Farms next time.

Grayson's First Vacation: Sunriver, Oregon

Grayson took his first vacation to Sunriver with Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy and Mila on July 16th. He had many other "firsts" during his vacation including; his first swim in a pool, his first picnic, and meeting his Uncle Paul, Aunt Reagan and cousins Courtney, Quinn and Sydney for the first time during an overnight visit to Papa Norm in Eugene.

Grayson did a great job sleeping in so many new places and passed the time during the long car rides by napping. He also discovered a new favorite pastime...watching and chatting with the ceiling fan.

Everyone had a terrific time in Sunriver and hope to return next year so Grayson can do some big boy activities like 'passenger' bike riding.
